… and the entire office is on the way.

The destination of our office’s two-day excursion in 2017 was Amsterdam. We laughed a lot, we walked a lot and we gained a lot of new insights.

On a Friday morning our bus with 50 employees started on the A40 with direction to Holland. The two-hour trip was used by many colleagues for a small nap, but the tiredness quickly dissipated when we arrived at Café de Jaren in Amsterdam. To get awake, we then had a coffee right at the waterfront! As soon as the cups were set aside, we started off to our first guided tour through the old town of Amsterdam. The many small colorful houses right on the water with countless boats and flowers left our KZA group astonished.

Fascinating view on the new EYE film institute

After this first small marathon, we went on the boat and down the canals with delicious food. A highlight on the tour was the ride over the IJ with a fascinating view on the new EYE film institute and the Adam Tower. Our group used the time on the water to relax and rest, because the next tour started shortly after the boat trip.

We divided ourselves into two groups: While the ones looked at the eastern harbour islands, the others marveled at the new development on the IJ. In the end, just before 6 pm, everyone met again on the bus, completely exhausted by over 20,000 steps they had made!

BBQ at the sea side

But the day was not over yet – we went to the beach of Noordwijk to a hotel and dinner. Just a one-hour bus ride with a cool beer separated us from the delicious BBQ in the Zeemeuw directly at the sea. Unfortunately, the weather was not at its best and decided to blow up with a cool breeze.

The wet and cheerful evening ended late for some of us, but ultimately for everyone in a top hotel with super comfy beds.

The next morning everyone had the chance to have a nice breakfast before we went on the bus back to Amsterdam! The day began in the Rijksmuseum and was then at our free disposal. After the very strict program of the first day, some employees were particularly happy to go on their own explorations. After three hours we went home and said goodbye to Amsterdam!
