The work on an office and a new hotel on the Europa-Center site in Essen is entering the final phase. Project participants and honorary guests have now celebrated the construction progress on the corner site Kruppstrasse/Friedrichstrasse. The design for the office building with around 18,800 square meters comes from Koschany + Zimmer Architekten KZA.

The main tenant of the seven-storey building is the Bitmarck company group. By the end of 2017, the 700 employees will be able to move into the new company headquarters. „With regard to time management and construction costs, the project is fully planned,“ emphasized Axel Kiel, CEO of Europa-Center AG, according to a press release from the company. Andreas Strausfeld, Chairman of the Board of Bitmarck, praised the smooth cooperation of the partners. „We are very pleased to be able to start a new chapter in the history of the Bitmarck group in the near future.“

Certification for sustainable construction

The German Society for Sustainable Building (DGNB) had certified the office building designed by KZA with the award DGNB Gold. The Novum Style Hotel will be built as another new building on the premises.
