The KZA team took part in the Onkolauf in Essen: A group of runners started at the sports event for a good cause.
Each of the participants completed the 2,5 k run in the Essen Grugapark. And of course family members, friends and former colleagues were there, too.
The Onkolauf is organized annually for different target groups, like children, young people and company teams. All proceeds of the event – sponsorship contributions as well as the income from participation fees – will benefit the Essen Cancer Aid.
History goes back to the year 2003
The KZA team has participated in the event several times already. After all, the history of the event goes back to the year 2003, when a run for charitable purposes was organized for the first time in Essen’s Grugapark. The proceeds, then, went to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Since 2004, the yearly proceeds are handed over to Essen’s Cancer Aid. The event is organized by the association Onkolauf e.V.
