… they can be inspired by the Venice Architecture Biennale. After a one hour flight and a short ride by water taxi you will already arrive in beautiful Venice. A weekend trip is great to get to know the exhibition around the Arsenal as well as the idyllic city.

If you want to flee from the tourist flow, you look for a small place to stay in the district of Castello, near the Giardini. From here you can walk to the main venues of the Biennale, always accompanied by lively boat traffic on the water.

The subject of the Architecture Biennale this year was Freespace, and the views of those involved were exactly as free as this. The first day is a great way to get an overview of the interpretations from different countries in the Giardini. These are perceived differently by the respective pavilions. The installations and models within the Architecture Biennale encourage reflection, create space for one’s own creativity and new ideas. In order to process the myriad impressions in the short time, using the paths on the water is a very pleasant opportunity. They invite you to take a deep breath.

On the second day, the hall in the Arsenal is definitely worth a visit. Here, other nationalities show their spatial models on a 1: 1 scale, but also the contributions of internationally known offices can be admired – either in the form of graphically enhanced plans or audio sequences.

Carrying a lot of new thoughts and impressions with you, there will then come the time to go back home. Both the Architecture Biennale and Venice are definitely worth a visit for anyone. Of course you can also get to know the city in best weather conditions during a gondola ride or while having a delicious wine.
